I’m not sure about you, but I have a love/hate relationship with the snow.

Is it beautiful? Yes.

Do we need the water that the snow brings? Yes.

Do we sometimes get a snow day? Yes.

I long for the warmth of the sun and for a snow blower.

We don’t have one.

We have only one snow shovel. Honestly, I feel that at this point, we need one for each and every one of our family members.

Shoveling snow is hard work. Anyone living in Colorado for more than a year, knows how much physical effort it takes to shovel a driveway, a sidewalk, or even your car out of a snowplow drift.

So, after our 100th snow this season (ok, that may be an exaggeration), I did some research on snow plows. Any one of them will be better than my lonely, snow shovel. That being said, if I’m going to buy one, I want it be good enough to clear my driveway even with 17 inches of snow.

Ok, this is my first post, so I’m going to give you a little peek into a big part of who I am. I’m cheap. I know, I know. I’m not supposed to use that word. I’m suppose to use words like frugal or financially conscious.

So, I’m not cheap, I just weigh the pros and cons of most purchases, especially the big ones…like a snow blower.

I have this one in my Home Depot cart:

As I watch the snow accumulate outside my window, I wish it was in my garage instead of my cart.

Knowing myself, I will probably wait till July to move it from my cart to my garage. I could buy it right now, pick it up tomorrow, and be fully prepared to clear my driveway in 20 minutes at our next dump of snow, but I will wait to July.

Sigh!
